Akihabara
Akihabara, Tokyo’s Electric City, is a fascinating place. I hope recent events there that shocked the nation don’t taint or lessen its appeal. It is a unique place that I think captures the essence of modern day Tokyo. This was written last spring when we went shopping for a cell phone on a Saturday morning.
The translation for Ofuro, the story
The translation for 幸子の話 has been added and can be found here.
A big thanks needs to go out to Scott for letting me know about some problems the site has when being viewed in IE7. I have tried to correct most of those issues this evening…including getting rid of the GIGANTIC Amazon.com ad. Sorry. I had no idea as I use Firefox for my browsing, and it is much smaller in that browser. If you are a fan of Lost or WHAM! you should head over and check out Scott’s blog http://perpetualblah.blogspot.com/ . Leave him a comment and tell him thanks for helping out Brian.
-Hiroshima-
Japan is a beautiful and striking country to live in and travel through. If you are planning a trip to Japan, it is mandatory that you include Hiroshima on your itinerary. Aside from the haunting image of seeing the “A-bomb” Dome, there is the beautiful Peace Park and the Hiroshima Peace Museum which does a marvelous job of laying out the message of peace and horrors of war. Today’s tale is from our visit to Hiroshima in May of 2005.

Another new Tale, hot off the press.
And this one is in English.
And it has nothing to do about Japan. Well, the first paragraph does, but you can skip that one.
So pour yourself a drink, sit back and relax as you read a tale full of nostalgia.
幸子の話
Today’s post is brand new!
That is right, I have heard your cry, “We want new stuff Brian! Not that rehashed stuff we have read before.” Enjoy!
This is the first post by a guest writer. I hope it is the first of many. Your comments and support for this budding author are appreciated.
