Easter Eggs
On Thursday grandma and I made easter eggs. First we let the eggs boil for twelve minutes. Second, we let the eggs cool. Finally, it was time to decorate the Easter eggs. I love to make Easter eggs.
We had to make the dye. There were six tablets. We put one tablet in each bowl. We put vinegar in the bowl. I had gone with grandma to buy the vinegar at the 99 store because granddaddy had already used all of ours. We stirred while they bubbled. Then we added water.
We made two easter eggs with half of the egg one color and the other half another color. I also made two eggs that were all one color.
Grandma brought shrink wraps. Some looked like lace. Some had Mickey Mouse on them. We put the wrap on the egg and then grandma dipped them into boiling water. We also had some special Easter egg stickers. We used them on the eggs. We made fourteen eggs.

(Editor’s note: I wasn’t around when this was going on. I have no idea why Sachan is making this face, but I wanted to include this because I see this face ALL the time. I am also thrilled that grandma caught the water bottled water stash that has been an attempt to keep granddaddy hydrated as well as my recycling bags that hang off my trashcan.)

Sachan,
why don’t you ask your dad to teach you how to color eggs the way he learned to do it in college- you get to use sharp pointed sticks, bees wax and FIRE! I’ve got the tools if you want to make pysanky.
