Sushi Crab
Once on the top of Tokyo Tower there lived a crab whose name was Sushi Crab. His name was Sushi Crab because he made sushi out of his little brothers and sisters, and ate them. He was a very strange crab.
Sushi Crab went to visit his dad. His dad said, “I think you a little confounded about eating your little brothers and sisters.” Then Sushi Crab said, “Oh well, I’ll eat you too.”
Sushi Crab went back to the top of Tokyo Tower. The more Sushi Crab thought about what his dad had said, the more he understood. Sushi Crab thought what he should do. But nothing came to him.
The next day Sushi Crab had a great idea. And it was not to eat his dad. Maybe he could go to the Crab Sushi Store and ask if he could be one of their sushi makers. So Sushi Crab went to the shop and asked. To his delight the answer was “Yes!”
After that, Sushi Crab never ate his family again. Sushi Crab was happy and, worked for the Crab Sushi Shop as long as he lived.

I thought your story was very interesting Samantha. It showed great imagination and was wonderful at how it shows we can change from doing bad things to doing the right thing. I am very proud of you that you thought all that out.

Glad you liked Sachan’s story. I am hoping she will write another one soon and post it.
The tallest building in Japan is the Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills which is 52 stories tall. Sachan sees it everyday when she goes to school.
I have not seen Berzerker, but I did see a giant Pikachu (about 30 feet tall) a couple of weeks ago. Hello Kitty sightings are regular occurrences. I know the Power Rangers hang out close to Tokyo Dome where the Japanese Major League Baseball champs, the Giants, recently won the series.
Grass? Hmmmm, I don’t recall what that is. Haven’t seen any here in quite awhile. Oh wait, I walked through a moss garden a couple weeks ago when we were in Hakone…where we could see the volcano, Mt. Fuji, which is the highest mountain in Japan. The moss garden was quite lovely: the grounds of this garden were covered in moss with a rock path. The garden was bordered by bamboo. And there were Sugar Maples with bright orange leaves that had just changed…it was quite lovely.
Tokyo is the capitol of Japan and is one of the largest cities in the world. There are about 25 and a half million people in and around Tokyo. We don’t own a car, but don’t need one. We can walk or take trains anywhere we need to go.
Tokyo started out as a small fishing village, but then a Shogun (a military leader) moved the capitol here about the same time the British set up the colony in Jamestown.

WOW! That was some powerful science fiction. I acutally feel a bit uncomfortable/ scared after reading that- I am afraid to eat the sushi in my fridge now. Guess what my students will be reading tomorrow????
